Join us Easter morning at 7am as we celebrate Jesus’ resurrection. This will be an outdoor service located on the front steps of the church.

Join us Thursday, April 6th at 8pm as we meditate and reflect on Christ’s suffering. Tenebrae is a Latin word meaning ‘darkness’ or ‘shadows’. A service of Tenebrae is a service of meditation and reflection, Scripture interspersed with music, for our reflection on what Christ has done for us.

Join us Tuesday, March 28th at 7pm as we head to Gastonia Street Ministry to hangout and serve our friends there. We will provide music, Gods Word and a warm meal. If you would like to serve, please arrive no later than 6:45pm. See you there!

Rooted Students! Join us at the Dodd's house on Saturday, March 26th from 4-8pm for a bonfire and cookout! There will be no shortage of fun, food and fellowship with your fellow students! Wanting to know more about Hickory Grove and what we believe? Have you been coming for awhile and are ready to make the next step in your journey through partnership? Well this class is for you! Our New Partners Class led by Lead Pastor, Chris Shuford, will lead you through the mission, vision and values of Hickory Grove. Lunch will be provided, please register below if you plan on attending and indicate if you have any food allergies and if you will need childcare. This class will take place immediately following the worship gathering on Sunday, March 26th.

Join us Sunday, January 29th for our Spaghetti Lunch immediately following the 11am service. This lunch will be donations only with the proceeds going towards our Rooted Students Summer Camp.

Join us Tuesday, January 24th at 7pm as we head over to serve dinner to our friends at Gastonia Street Ministry. Service begins at 7pm and will consist of a time of worship, a gospel message, and a warm meal. If you plan on serving, please arrive by 6:45pm. Hickory Spokes will meet at Olive Garden on Thursday January 19th at 11:00 am for a fellowship lunch. All senior adults are welcome.

Following the worship service on January 15th, Grove kids will be going to McDonalds to have lunch and then to visit Bunny Blessings. This local ministry uses a variety of bunnies to help bring love and therapy to people. At the Bunny Barn, kids will learn about bunny care and get to hold bunnies. On January 14th there will be a trip to Burnsville NC to help with the wood cutting ministry. A recent donation of several dump truck loads of logs has been gifted to the ministry and our help is needed to cut and distribute the wood. During December when the temperature reached -4, our team helped many area residents stay warm. The car pool will leave Hickory Grove at 7:30 am on January 14th. No tools are needed, just willing bodies to help with various tasks. Lunch is provided by the area church. Email Tiffany@myhgbc.org if you would like to join in with January’s team.

Find those goofy, silly, ugly sweaters from the back of your closet or from your most recent Christmas party and wear them to church on Sunday December 18th at our 11am Worship Gathering. Why would we do this? Well, because ridiculously goofy Christmas sweaters inspire joy and laughter. We believe church can be joy-filled, fun, and filled with laughter, even as we proclaim the Gospel!

Families of Grove kids are invited to stay after church for a Snoopy themed Thanksgiving Celebration. Come watch “A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving”, eat lunch, & participate in fall activities.

Hickory Spokes will meet for lunch at Mayworth’s in Cramer ton on Thursday, November 17th at 11:00am. All are invited to join in this fellowship.

Looking for a fun way to spend time with your student on their day off from school? Join Grove kids as we head to the Riverbanks Zoo in Columbia, SC for a day full of fun. Church bus leaves at 7:30am. Bring a bag lunch or pick up something in the park. Email Tiffany@myhgbc.org with questions.

Hickory Spokes (Senior Adult Ministry) will meet for lunch at Cheddars in Gastonia on Thursday, September 15 @ 11:00 am. Come join for a great fellowship lunch!

Join us as we partner with a local church who buys logs from a logging company. They will help saw the logs into smaller pieces. We are needed to help lift small logs, bust them on wood splitters, stack them into the back of trucks and then deliver them to elderly, where we will stack wood in their wood sheds for use this fall and winter.
