Join us Thursday, April 6th at 8pm as we meditate and reflect on Christ’s suffering. Tenebrae is a Latin word meaning ‘darkness’ or ‘shadows’. A service of Tenebrae is a service of meditation and reflection, Scripture interspersed with music, for our reflection on what Christ has done for us.

Join us Tuesday, March 28th at 7pm as we head to Gastonia Street Ministry to hangout and serve our friends there. We will provide music, Gods Word and a warm meal. If you would like to serve, please arrive no later than 6:45pm. See you there!

Our New Partners Class led by Lead Pastor, Chris Shuford, will lead you through the mission, vision and values of Hickory Grove. Hickory Spokes will meet at Olive Garden on Thursday January 19th at 11:00 am for a fellowship lunch. All senior adults are welcome.

Following the worship service on January 15th, Grove kids will be going to McDonalds to have lunch and then to visit Bunny Blessings. This local ministry uses a variety of bunnies to help bring love and therapy to people. At the Bunny Barn, kids will learn about bunny care and get to hold bunnies. On January 14th there will be a trip to Burnsville NC to help with the wood cutting ministry. A recent donation of several dump truck loads of logs has been gifted to the ministry and our help is needed to cut and distribute the wood. During December when the temperature reached -4, our team helped many area residents stay warm. The car pool will leave Hickory Grove at 7:30 am on January 14th. No tools are needed, just willing bodies to help with various tasks. Lunch is provided by the area church. Email Tiffany@myhgbc.org if you would like to join in with January’s team.

Why would we do this? Well, because ridiculously goofy Christmas sweaters inspire joy and laughter.
